The Jones Brothers’ Bateau was born as a tough, fiberglass johnboat that met the needs of a variety of boaters. Like the “bateau” of Louisiana, the new Jones Brothers’ craft was also a utility boat that could be used by sport fishermen, hunters, oystermen, and even water skiers.

The Jones Brothers’ Cape Fisherman was designed for the unpredictable waters outside the protection of the sounds. Thanks to continued collaboration between Jones Brothers Marine and the best anglers in the business, you can find a Cape Fishermen from 18 to 26 feet that offers the hull and interior configuration to meet your needs. No center console on the market offers a stronger hull and smoother, drier ride than the Cape Fishermen.

Bateau 17

The Bateau 17 is often used for solo fishing or getting out with your best buddy. In the Morehead City area this Bateau is most often used in the sounds and tidal marshes, or trips to the Rock Jetty on calm days. The small Bateau can be used to flounder gig at night, fish the bridge pilings and day markers on the water ways and similar destinations at all the other coastal areas up and down the coast - places that are easy to get to in a small skiff.

Bateau 20

The Bateau 20 is probably the sweet spot for price, performance and utility in the Bateau line. It's an excellent fishing boat, that's easy to handle in tidal marshes, sounds, and bays. Owners also appreciate the boat for its fuel economy and very low maintenance. Many owners use the Bateau to meet friends on a barrier island for a hike, stop by a point or sandbar for shells or sand dollars, watch a sunset, or go for morning coffee at a waterfront restaurant. For many kids on the coast this boat is their first "car". The Bateau is their ticket to freedom.

Bateau 23

The Bateau 23 has the capacity for larger groups of fisherman, and the boat has the size, weight and freeboard to get out of the sounds and go oceanside on nicer days. T-Tops are often added to the Bateau 23 for extended days on the water. The Bateau 23 is a favorite for it's ability to move loads of people, cookers, ATVs, or tow kayaks or a jetski - hopefully, not all at once.

Cape Fisherman 18

The Cape Fisherman 18 is our entry level V-hull, and was designed to leave the protected bays to fish and explore near-shore waters. The boat can be self-launched and is easily towed even by a small SUV. The 18 is very economical for a young family that likes to fish on the ocean-side of the barrier islands, and understands the safety and performance advantages of a V-hull center console over a bay boat.

Cape Fisherman 1910LT

The Cape Fisherman 1910LT is the finest big-water lite-tackle fishing boat available today. The 1910LT offers enough beam and freeboard for rough waters and inlets, and has the driest ride you will find in a boat this size. Super-clean decks with pop-up cleats and bow lite keep fly lines from snagging. You will also find the most useful storage compartments for any boat its size. The 1910 LT has a low profile console/windshield, two watertight compartments, and grab rails that are the perfect height whether standing or sitting. This boat was designed for fisherman by fisherman. Safe, seaworthy, angler/fly line friendly... The Jones Brothers 1910 LT has it all.

Cape Fisherman 20

The Cape Fisherman 20 comfortably handles three anglers, or more if you share well, and is economical to run. The 20 is easily towed and can be self-launched. For family boating, consider adding the forward casting deck to provide seating for a boatload of kids, and increase storage capacity for camping and beach gear.

Cape Fisherman 23

The Cape Fisherman 23 has become one of our most popular boats for fishing guides. The boat is economical to run, and comfortably handles larger groups of anglers. While all the Cape Fisherman are designed for near-shore fishing, the 23' is large enough to go offshore on nicer days. It has plenty of freeboard and flare to keep you safe and dry. For family boating, consider adding the forward casting deck to provide seating for a boatload of kids, and increase storage capacity for camping and beach gear.

Cape Fisherman 26

The Cape Fisherman 26 breaks away from the "near-shore" capabilities of its smaller siblings. The boat has the length, weight and range to comfortably go offshore. The 26 can be configured with a single 250 or twin 150 Yamaha four stroke engines. Either engine option coupled with Yamaha’s Command Link® fuel management system provides excellent fuel economy.
